Our Story
Échelon Nails is not a beauty brand. It is a precision atelier — founded on the belief that executive women deserve luxury that works as hard as they do.
Brand Essence
Created for executives, entrepreneurs, board members, founders, and women who expect excellence, ÉCHELON delivers luxury press-on nails with the same precision, polish, and confidence they bring to every room they enter.
This is not just a beauty brand.
This is a status brand.
We founded Échelon Nails because we understood a truth that most beauty brands ignore: for executive women, every element of presentation is a statement of intent. Your nails are no exception. They are seen in every handshake, every signature, every moment you command a room.
What We Stand For
Every detail matters. We hold ourselves to the same exacting standard we set for our clients — nothing less than exceptional.
Luxury is quiet. When every detail is considered, you walk into any room knowing you are ready.
Timeless over trendy. Our designs are curated to complement power dressing, never compete with it.
Luxury should never require sacrifice. Salon quality in minutes — on your schedule, not the salon's.
The atelier approach. Every set is precision-engineered with the care and intention of a luxury maison.
The Story of Échelon
Some of the best ideas are born not in boardrooms, but in the quiet moments between one meeting and the next — when a busy woman looks down at her hands and thinks: I deserve to feel polished, and I simply don't have two hours to sit still at a salon to get there.
ÉCHELON began with nearly a decade of shared history between two women who had grown companies together, navigated pivots together, and celebrated wins together.
Melissa Di Donato Roos — global tech executive, board leader, and one of the most driven women in enterprise technology — had always seen in April Moh something April Moh didn't always see in herself. That kind of partnership is rare. They both knew it.
"Through three companies and close to ten years, Melissa had watched April Moh's work, her drive, her ambition — but she had never once seen her with a manicure."
April Moh is, by nature, a woman always in motion. The salon felt like a luxury she couldn't afford — not financially, but in time. Sitting still for ninety minutes felt impossible when there was always another call, another flight, another deadline… on top of two young kids. So her nails stayed bare. Functional. An afterthought.
Then April Moh discovered press-on nails — and not the flimsy plastic squares of the nineties. Soft-gel, salon-quality, harm-free nails that go on in minutes and last for days. She tried a set one weekend on a whim. She walked into work the following Monday, and Melissa noticed immediately.
"Wait — are those your nails?"
That was the spark. Melissa started trying out these press-ons, and then the two started talking — really talking — about what these small, beautiful things actually represented.
Because here's what press-on nails are, when done right: They give a woman the confidence of a fresh set without the calendar block or chemical harm. They say: I am put-together, I am intentional, I am ready — on my own terms and my own schedule.
"They didn't just want a product. They wanted a statement: that a woman's ambition and her elegance have never been in competition."
Together, they looked at the market and saw a gap that mirrored something they had always felt in their careers: there were options at the bottom, options in the middle, but nothing that truly spoke to the woman at the top. The female founder. The board member. The executive who takes a red-eye to close a deal and still needs to look like she owns the room when she lands.
ÉCHELON is for her. It's boardroom beauty — understated, luxurious, and completely, unapologetically on her schedule. From The Chairwoman to The Founder, from Monaco to Mayfair, every collection is designed to reflect the life she's built and the rooms she walks into.
But more than a brand, ÉCHELON is an extension of the belief that has quietly underpinned everything Melissa and April Moh have built together: that when women genuinely champion each other — not performatively, but in the daily, decade-long, showing-up way — extraordinary things happen.
They built this for themselves first. They're sharing it with every woman who has ever skipped the salon because she had somewhere more important to be.
